Why can’t I withdraw? (It says “below minimum level”)

Understanding the “below minimum level” message

If you see a message saying your balance is below the minimum level, it usually means you’re trying to withdraw more than the amount available after required balances are taken into account.

We have a £1 minimum balance requirement on your share account. This means £1 must always remain in your account and cannot be withdrawn.

Example (no loan):
If you have £200 in your account and try to withdraw the full £200, the system won’t allow it. Instead, try withdrawing £199 to leave the required £1 minimum balance.

If you have a loan:
If you also have a loan, your next loan repayment might need to remain in your account until it’s taken.

If you try to withdraw more than this, you may see the “below minimum level” message.

Please try again using this information.
